Update: Thank you everyone for coming out! It was a wonderful afternoon and show!

Diomed Presents welcomes Grammy nominated Bluegrass artist Seldom Scene to historic Mount Airy Farm in the Northern Neck of Virginia for a once-in-a-lifetime performance of the classic 1975 double album, "Live At The Cellar Door."

This will be your only chance to see the Seldom Scene perform this album live from start to finish!

One of the earliest live bluegrass albums to be issued, “Live At The Cellar Door” was recorded in 1975 at the now famous club in Washington DC and features the original band in its prime. It remains one of the most beloved bluegrass albums of all-time for its mix of Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin and Carter Stanley standards alongside original John Starling and Bob Dylan penned classics.

On September 25th the album will be played song for song, note for note at Mount Airy Farm by the current Scene line-up which includes Dudley Connell on guitar, Lou Reid on mandolin, Ron Stewart on banjo, Fred Travers on dobro and, holding down the low end, Mr. Ronnie Simpkins on upright bass.

Legendary pickers, Seldom Scene will play two sets starting at 5:00 pm on Saturday, SEPTEMBER 25TH, 2021 at Mount Airy Farm located just outside Warsaw, Virginia near the Rappahannock River.

“The 2-LP set was broadly hailed by critics, outside as well as within bluegrass circles, and was re-released by Rebel Records in 2019 as a CD box set with a 12-page booklet and several unpublished photographs. The original introduced thousands of new fans to the music of John Starling, John Duffey, Ben Eldridge, Mike Auldridge, and Tom Gray, and is viewed as one of the most important of the 20th century in this field.” - John Lawless, Bluegrass Today
